Updates on "Building Large Scale Web Apps"

Updates on the new content we've been working on!

Hey everyone! Addy and Hassan here 👋🏽!

Since our recent launch of “Building Large Scale Web Apps,” we’ve been hard at work on some new updates and content for the book.

Three New Chapters

We’re putting the finishing touches to a new important chapter titled “The Future of React”! The chapter does a full deep-dive into all the new changes coming into the React Ecosystem, which include:

• New Hooks & APIs

• React Server Components & Server Actions

• React Compiler

• and more.

We’ve also begun the drafts for the other two chapters we’re working on:

• Routing in Large-Scale React Applications

• User-Centric API Design

We’re aiming to have this all completed by sometime in Q3 2024 (i.e., the next few months!).

We also do want to specify that these new chapters and updates to the book will be sent to everyone who’s already purchased the e-book or physical copy at no additional cost! We’ll have more to share on this very soon.

We’ve added a new /resources page to our website, https://largeapps.dev/resources/, that lists links to additional resources for the “Building Large Scale Web Apps” book. At the moment, we’ve added a PDF where you can find a list of hyperlinks for all the links we share in the book.

Though we’ve managed to have the physical edition of “Building Large Scale Web Apps: A React Field Guide” be available in a large number of countries, the book may not be able in some select countries.
